| Our broccoli plants
are grown from seed on our own five-hectare nursery.
All our broccoli plants are grown in modular trays containing 126, 216 or 345 plants per tray,
depending on the time of year. |
The plants are
transplanted to the field at regular intervals from the beginning of March to the end of July.
This allows us to provide a continuous supply of broccoli throughout the full UK season, from June
to November. |

| The
first plantings of broccoli are covered with fleece or polythene to promote growth. This method
also helps the broccoli to grow quicker, allowing for earlier availability. |
Broccoli is harvested and packed directly into customer trays.
The fieldsmen regularly inspect the fields to ensure the harvesting is carried out
at the correct time, when the head size falls within the customers’ specification.
